Kenwood TS 130S Inquiry

Hello,
I recently purchased a TS130S XCVR for which I am in need of some info.

1)Is there any way to adjust the analog dial to track with the digital
readout?

My analog dial readings vary  from 7 to 12 Khz from the digital readout.
The difference
increases as I move up the band. However there is exactly a 10 Khz reading
between the
marks on the dial as indicated by the digital readout. The digital readout
seems to be accurate as I checked it using WWV and the calibrator as stated
in the manual.

2) Is this a normal condition for this radio?

3) Can the date of manufacture be determined by the serial number?

Any info is appreciated.

There is a milled(ridged) disk between the tuning knob and the display. Hold
the knob to keep it from turning, and turn the milled disk. This will change
the mechanical dial without changing the digital display

Well, I don't know, but on the TS-180, a nearly comtemporary rig, I have about
1-2 kc discrepancy from the bottom of a band to the top.
