>>>Your legal ID is your CALLS followed IMMEDIATELY by your CITY OF LICENSE.

>>let's nitpick here - unless the rules have changed, you *are* allowed to
>>say the frequency [or channel # ;-)] and/or the licensee of the station too in the legal ID...

>>"KMPC, 710 AM, Los Angeles"
>>"KROQ, Infinity Broadcasting, Pasadena and Los Angeles"
>>note these are just examples.  How picky does the FCC get? If i were to say
>>"KROQ, Infinity's 106.7 from Pasadena" would i get nailed for the 'from'?
>>or "KMPC at AM 710, Los Angeles" for the 'at'?
>There's one other thing you're allowed to use in an ID...Owner.  So, "KROQ,
>Infinity Broadcasting, Pasadena and Los Angeles" is OK (You can put any city
>you like after the city of license).  In the old days ('78) when the FCC ran

continuing to nitpick... usually the owner is the licensee, but i think the FCC regs specifically say 'licensee' of the station.
