NCRC'94 - the 14th annual National Campus and Community Radio
Conference, will be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick from
June 20 - 25, 1994.


The conference theme - "Anything but Static" - is meant to
represent both the dynamic and diverse nature of community based

There conference itself will include over 60 sessions ranging from
discussions on issues of censorship, music, inclusion, volunteer
empowerment and training, and just about any other topic to do
with campus and community radio.  There will also be special panel
discussions on crucial issues affecting community radio in Canada
and beyond.


-- people with disabilities

This years conference will see a special focus on disability issues
and the inclusion of people with disabilities within stations.  A
special invitation is sent out to people with disabilities to come
together at NCRC'94.

Through grants from the Government of Canada funding is available
to cover the costs of a number of delegates with disabilities to
attend.  If you are disabled, or know of someone who, and want to
attend NCRC'94, or is you have suggestions for topics of discussion,

-- women in community radio --

Monday, June 20 will see the 3rd annual "Women in Community
Radio DayS.  This special focus will celebrate the contributions of
women to campus and community radio, and provide an opportunity
for women to network and discuss issues of concern among

We're busy putting together "Colored Noise", a diverse sampling of
local, regional and national talent.  The venue, the College Hill
Social Club - is right on campus.  Six nites of great entertainment.

Most, if not all, delegates will be housed on campus in  student

Cost is  $69 per person single, $59 per person double (plus a fully
refundable $25 key deposit).

Fredericton is easily accessible  via air and train.

three times weekly trains from Montreal. Overnite on Saturday, June
18 arrives on Sunday am before conference. Return overnite on
saturday, June 25 to MOntreal sunday am.
