Los Angeles AM 710 KMPC's morning show of Charlie Tuna, Marve HowardQuote:>From north San Diego County:
and Scott St. James have came up with a new brand of television in the
wake of Jim Rome's on air-scuffle. Smack-TV. As KMPC days of an all
sports station seem to be winding down, the on-hour professional talent
of All Sports 710 haven't skipped a beat and maintain a bright outlook.
Meanwhile, Jim Rome of XETRA-AM 690 who was making "news" last week on the
ESPN2 gig received a phone call of support from his radio boss. XETRA AM/FM
president, John *** told Rome, "I just wanted to let you know that
while I share your concern that you pushed a little too far . . . I just
want you to know that you've got a lot of support here at the radio
station."
[has anyone asked Chris Everett what she thinks??]
Gayle Falkenthal, who served as Roger Hedgecock's producer on KSDO-AM, 1130
San Diego, has left the station for a new job. The Hedgecock show is the
highest rated San Diego-based talk show. It's on from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
Falkenthal will be the media coordinator for the San Diego Water Authority.
She spent 12-years at KSDO. The decision to leave the station was her
own.
