McGee announced that, while talk stations WTMJ and WISN dropped in the latest
Arbitrons (with WISN's caustic afternoon right-winger Mark Belling taking a
particularly steep drop), their CARTER/McGEE REPORT has more than tripled
WNOV's morning share (from 0.7 to 2.2) after only five months on the air
without substantial advertising or promotion. (In fact, the biggest source of
outside promotion CARTER/McGEE got was, ironically, a three-hour trashing in
September---by Mark Belling on WISN.)
