Connecting a Receiver Control Program to the ILGRadio Broadcast Database Program GNPDB

Connecting a Receiver Control Program to the ILGRadio Broadcast Database Program GNPDB

The program GNPDB displays the ILGRadio broadcast databases. The
program will work with Windows 95, 98 and NT. It will not work with
DOS or Windows 3.11.

GNPDB can be used as a standalone program or in conjunction with the
Ten-Tec RX-320 receiver control program GNRX320.

The program GNPDB may be used free of charge.
For a description of the functionality and in order to download see:

        http://gniephaus.tripod.com

See the ILGRadio web site for a description of the ILGRadio databases:

        http://www.ilgradio.com/ilgradio.htm

In the past I have been asked several times to connect the GNPDB
program to receiver control programs other  than my Ten-Tec RX-320
program GNRX320.

For several reasons I can not do this job. The program GNPDB is
however prepared to be connected to other receiver control programs.
The only thing which must be done is a small extension in the receiver
control program; the program GNPDB can be configurated in the
ini-file. (Technically: the communication is done via the Windows
message WM_COPYDATA)

I am willing to describe  the details of the communication to
everybody who has written a receiver control program  and wants to
connect to the ILGRadio database without the effort of writing the
database display code himself. I can also provide MS Visual C++ code
fragments to show how the communication can be implemented.
