New Radio Shack PRO-35 Scanner is
a Uniden/Bearcat 100xlt Variant

Now appearing on Radio Shack's shelves is the new PRO-35
portable scanner, a variant of the Uniden/Bearcat 100xlt
produced under the Realistic label. At about $230, it
sports 100 channels and lacks 800 MHz coverage. The differ-
ences between the PRO-35 and 100xlt are the colors, the
shape of the keys (PRO-35 keys are square, 100xlt round),
and the PRO-35 includes a 12 vdc power jack on the side of
the scanner. Both radios are powered by slide on NiCd
packs.
The PRO-35 will be sold with a 12 vdc power mobile cord.
