All that I have personally read about this "kill switch" denotes that it
applies only to US government assets. i.e. the ability to disconnect the
entire federal government from the internet in the event of an attempted
massive *** attack. The military already has a separate network that does
not use normal internet links (SIPRNET), along with their normal network
(NIPRNET). The plan is to apparently build such an alternate network for all
government agencies. Basically, if the throw the switch, it would leave the
World Wide Web undisturbed, other than we would no longer have access to
.gov websites.
