Any experience & opinions of this radio? Is it worth the $70 closeout price?

No way. This is a cheap successor to the Patrolman SW-60, and its SW
coverage is much less, only 4-12 MHz + CB, rather than 5.8-18 MHz, which is
much more useful for SWL. You could get a Patrolman for less on eBay.

I have a SW-60 (and a CB-60) that I'd be willing to part with for that
same $70 if you are interested. Last time I looked at it it was in decent
shape as I recall.

I had a DX-60 portable in the early 80's which took one heck of a beating.
AM sounded great on this radio. I usually took it camping. I remember
hearing some interesting stations on SW with it. I think the new price I
paid was like $79 and it was pretty good for an analog portable back in
it's time.
