RRS Logging Weekend Log

Post by David Mye » Tue, 31 Aug 1993 08:45:02

This was fun.  I didn't get a chance to participate in the last
Logging Weekend.  I usually don't log what I listen to, so that was a
change in habits.  I also spent time scanning the Ham bands, but I
didn't log any of that below.

CFH is Canadian Forces (CanForce) Halifax

"Giant Killer" is the U.S. Navy FACSFAC, Fleet Area Control &
Surveillance Facility, at NAS (Naval Air Station) Oceana, Va.

They have within the last few months moved to 4372.0 Khz USB,
from 4373.0 Khz USB. I've never seen them logged in LSB before, so
that's a new twist!

Yup, MAYFOR. WLC covers the Great Lakes, right after the MAYFOR
broadcast, a lot of the Great Lakes ships usually check in.

        Nice crop of UTE's!
