I've head this bit about Chinese missiles pointed at Taiwan and they
have a woman shouting hysterically in Taiwanese with a voice over in
English that leaves me laughing.

It isn't your ***is it ? We do not know where anyone's missiles are really
aimed do we ? Do we truly know where OUR missiles are aimed ??? It probably
feels like Key West, 90 some miles from CUBA. If I lived in Key West and
knew for certain Cuba had nukes programmed to bomb me i'd be a little
hysterical too.

When I was in vietnam, we got mortars and rockets on top of us EVERY night
for nine months. It does things to you, even if people far removed do not
understand because they cannot comprehend. If the people's republic of china
decides to invade, we have treaty obligations to defend. Are you ready to go
if called ?

Sorry to get your knickers in a twist but I was referring to the radio
spot and not the situation. I heard it twice and it made me laugh both
times. We do know where the missiles are pointed. The Chinese missiles
across the straight pointed at Taiwan and there is nothing funny about
that.

When you people post this stuff, why not include the frequency?

OR, is your post not true, just propaganda.

DAVID,

Actually He Would !

EXCEPT - For the Threat of Nuclear War [.]

YES - The USofA would go to War against a 'real' Army.

What other Nation in the World, has the 'real' Capability for
Projected Force and Force Deployment; other than the USofA.

The USofA is presently the only nation that can take a sustained
War to the Enemy's Homeland.  No other nation in the World can
take a sustained War to the American Homeland.

NOT: China, India, Russia, EURO-Land (France-Germany-England)

Yes, we know were they are pointed. Strait up. It's the guidance system that
determines direction after launch.

CW,

Two types of Missiles to consider:

INTERMEDIATE RANGE BALLISTIC MISSILES:
The Chinese (CHINA-PRC) Missiles that are pointed at Taiwan,
are intermediate Surface-to-Surface Ballistic Missiles (SS-BMs).
Most of the time Land based SS-BMs are in-fact 'pointed' at a
Visible Angle and in the 'general' Direction of the Target.

LONG RANGE BALLISTIC MISSILES:
The Chinese (CHINA-PRC) Missiles that are pointed at the USofA,
are Intercontinental (Surface-to-Surface) Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs).
Most of the time Land based ICBMs are basically 'pointed' Straight-Up.

SONG:  Rocket Man - by Elton John

She packed my bags last night pre-flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science I don't understand
It's just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man

And I think it's gonna be a long long time...
