Concerning the Grundig Satellit 800M and Grundig Satellit 900:

GS900 - The Grundig Satellit 900 is by design a 'large size portable
radio' in the tradition of the GS500 and GS700 Grundig radios.  These
radios have features that designed to 'fit' the portable radio Market
with a Target Price.  It is a "Niche" product within the Grundig Radio
Line.

GS800M - The Grundig Satellit 800M is by design a 'large size table
top radio' in the tradition of the GS600 and GS650 Grundig radios.
These radios have features that are designed to 'fit' the table top
radio Market with a Target Price.  It is a "Niche" product within the
Grundig Radio Line.

FWIW:  Tecsun/Grundig/Eton have many products that each have selected
features (product niche) that are offered at various target prices.

IMHO:  The Grundig Satellit 800M {Table Top} will be 'replaced' in
CY-2005/6 by the Grundig Satellit 1000 "DRM" {Table Top}.  The
GS1000-DRM will be an up-graded GS800M with a built-in "Digital Radio
Mondiale" (DRM) reception processor, a 'New Generation' of
"Multi-Mode" Full Coverage AM/FM/SW Receiver.
