It's been a long time since I stumbled into an actual CW broadcast

about 20wpm 5-letter code groups

Long ago I used to fall asleep to NSS.  I wonder if this guy will keep
it up long.

now is 01:00 UTC and he went back to

v v v de 4xz 4xz = = v v v de 4xz 4xz not very interesting

You heard Haifa Naval Radio, Israel.  Ostensibly for the Israeli Navy, but
probably used for other clandestine purposes.  One reason is that they use
various frequencies all over the HF bands which give global coverage.  Good
idea for a navy but last time I checked the Israeli Navy didn't sail all
over the world's oceans.  They could probably get by with a few freqs around
4 MHZ.

If you listen long enough, you'll hear 4XZ go into sending messages in 5
letter groups.  I used to copy them for code practice back when I was in
Europe.  I believe the speed was about 20 WPM.
