Pirate Radio in 48/49 Metre Band, does anyone listen?

Post by Steve Simpso » Fri, 18 Apr 1997 04:00:00

I hear a lot of activity in the UK between 6200 and 6900 kHz especially
during the weekend.

I hear stations like Laser Hot hits, Kiwi Radio and Jolly Roger relayed
from Ireland. As well as the usual religious stuff but does anyone
really listen for more than the 10 minutes or so needed to secure a QSL
card?

Is there a mailing list/reflector that deals with shortwave pirates in
the UK? Or perhaps somewhere to get an up to date frequency listing.

Most of the information on the internet seems to be aimed at the USA or
full of history lessons for offshore anoraks. Yawn yawn!!

Can anyone help?
