On 6952 im getting tons of pirate activity. a pirate playing slim shaddy
music. ill keep you posted  Mike

At 0215, WHYP is on 6950 USB with their "Who wants to be a pirate radio
operator program."  Coming in s9 despite the fact that conditions are poor
tonight.

Pretty strong here on the Gulf too Tom, despite the fact that I have
a grinding noise on 6950 (sounds like a dimmer switch from an upstairs
neighbor.). Seems they finished just after 03:02 utc.  Someone broke in
over them here and complained about the lack of "intertainment" in the
broadcast.  Or to put it in the jammers words...."this is pure garbage".
Did anyone else copy the intruder or was that just local?

I heard him.  According to the message boards at www.frn.net there has been
a pirate jammer lately that tries to interfere with pirate broadcasts.
Obviously some dimwit who can't put a decent pirate station on the air and
has to resort to QRMing real pirates.

As far as being pure garbage, I thought the program was very funny &
entertaining.  Not only that, the technical quality of the show was very
high.  They used the actual music from "Who wants to be a millionaire?" or
at least music that sounded very much like it.  And one of the lifelines was
that the contestants could call John T. Arthur... funny!  Very well written
program.

Well, this is the first time in a long while that I've had a chance to sit
down & listen to pirates.  And the first time I heard that program I didn't
get to listen to the whole thing, so it was a treat to be able to sit &
listen without any interruptions.

I personally would rather see too much pirate activity than too little.
