BBC World Service Frequencies

Post by Reverend Berilac of the Lake :\ » Mon, 07 Apr 2003 09:27:13

I've been hearing them on 11.835 in the afternoons lately about 4pm pst
(00:00 utc)

Remember the clock changes tonite to DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME. I hate it <g>.

May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.

World Service, the following list may be of interest. I compiled it
Quote:> using data obtained directly from the BBC website (www.bbc.co.uk) on April

> What appears below is a 'universal' list of BBC WS shortwave broadcast

frequencies, sorted by time (UTC). The main purpose of the list is to enable
listeners located in regions no longer targeted by the BBC, to find suitable
alternative frequencies. Therefore I have removed all regional references.
As a universal list, I have made no attempt to comment on signal quality. Of
course, the list can also be used anywhere in the world as a guide to
locating suitable signals. I downloaded the frequency information and
manually transcribed it into a spreadsheet that I used to sort the data.

BBC World Service Frequencies

Hmmm....very handy, although I have directories and what not, I often find
myself groping for a frequency when I want to tune in at time beyond my
normal listening hours.

David,

Thanks so much for putting this together!  I've already downloaded it
to my portable organizer.  I converted your HTML version to plain
text, and append it below for anyone else who doesn't use a
HTML-capable newsreader (or who has turned off HTML for
privacy/security reasons).

Regards,
C.
