Is the CC Radio by Sangean good as they claim?

Is all the hype I hear about the CC Radio by Sangean and C. Crane Company is
good as they claim for AM reception.  Is it worth the money for someone who
lives in an area of town which radio stations are hard to receive.

At best, its a disappointment.  My 7600G has the same or nearly the same
sensitivity as does my GE SRIII.  The audio is very so so but the the 7600G
is no champ here either.  The SRIII is easily the clear winner here but its
analog tuning is a pain at best.  With a loop like the Select A Tenna, they
are all the same because the loop makes a real hero out of a poor radio and
does little for a good radio.  It works great during the daytime but adds
less at night except to add some nulling.  Given the choice and knowing what
I do now, I would go for a used 7600G over a new CCRadio.  My favorite combo
is the 7600G with a Quantum Loop ant which has very deep nulls.

I have both the SuperRadio III and the CCRadio.  I purchased the CCRadio
mainly for daytime listening to a particular station about 180 miles
from me.  That's where the CCRadio shines.  It is more sensitive than
any other radio I have ever experiences, and better at bringing the
signal through the noise.  Since I take my radio from room to room, an
external loop is not practical.  The CCRadio, in my opinion, is tops,
but probably NOT worth the price they charge for it.  If price is not an
object, go for the CCRadio.

I think it is. I'm impressed with mine, though I wish it were a bit more
selective. I get some interference when I'm chasing a weak station on an
adjacent channel to a local powerhouse.
