Ramsey sells a kit for this, which I built over the Christmas holidays.
It works ok in the house but picks up too much noise for use in the car.
The kit costs $25 and the case is $15.

Hi Jeff,
MFJ also sells one of these.  It is very small (1x3x3).
You have to put it (in-line) on the antenna wire before your am radio.
And provide 13 VDC to it.
It has two switches two select switches for 49,31, and two other meter
bands I cant remember.   It works pretty good, but has a real problem
with changing temperatures in my truck.  In the morning I start at
620-AM to hear Monitor Radio in the 31 meter band and within 30
minutes I have retunned up to 670-AM due to the temperature shifting
the superhet frequencie.  It doesnt appear to be bothered greatly by
motor hash like a few other short waves I've had.
Best hunting,
Duane.
