Emerson ATS-803=?

Post by Dave McGaughe » Tue, 25 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I recently picked up an Emerson ATS-803 (150khz. - 29.99mhz., digital
display, touchpad) real cheap at a flea market.  I was told it didn't
work, but other than a thoroughly corroded battery compartment, it works
great. Does anyone have any info on this radio?  If description, etc.
required please ask.

 Thanks - Dave M.

It sounds like a Sangean 803(A) marketed by Emerson. Also was sold by
Radio Shack as the DX440. If it is in fact an "A" unit, it is a good
portable. I think Emerson sold the unit around 1989-1990 but it's still
a decent performer today. RD
